Mr. Pedro starts his day welcoming students as their parents drop them off at school. He is our parent educator at Mountain View Elementary School. He started working a few months after the school opened and was the first in Burke County to fill the position. Four years later, he provides support to parents, teachers and students.

In order to provide continuing support for our youngest readers, NCDPI's Office of Early Learning has developed and released “Literacy at Home.”

Mission: The mission of Mountain View Elementary School is to provide a safe, dynamic and challenging learning environment, through fostering relationships and developing a lifelong love of learning, that empowers all learners to serve the local & global community.
Vision: To provide a safe environment where students can become critical thinkers and life-long learners with self-confidence and the ability to work cooperatively towards a productive life.
