Greetings Bobcat families!
My name is Christie McMahon and I am privileged to serve as the principal of Mountain View Elementary School. I have proudly served Burke County Public Schools for the past seventeen years, beginning my career as a classroom teacher. I have had the opportunity to teach third, fourth and fifth grades. My service as a school administrator has given me the opportunity to work at six different schools- experiencing both elementary and middle school levels. Most importantly, I am a wife and mother of three. As a parent, I understand first hand the importance of family and the valuable relationship between school and home.
My experiences working with children have significantly impacted my core beliefs on how students learn best. I believe every student has the potential to grow. I believe that all students have purpose and value.
Please let me know how I can be of support to your child and family. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email. If I am out of my office, please leave a message and I will return calls at my earliest opportunity. A great deal of my day is spent in the classroom participating in the wonderful things that are going on in our school.
I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve the community of Mountain View Elementary and I am thankful for your support of our school.
Mrs. McMahon, Principal
